THE DREAM

It had been a restless night. The dream. It was about the two coyotes who had attacked us over a month ago. Since that time both of us had not seen them. Kev had asked if I could walk Miley alone this morning because he was going to have a really busy day. In my dream I saw the same two coyotes coming after Miley and me. I didn’t tell Kev the dream but instead prayed that God would protect us. And then it happened. Just like in my dream. There they were, the same two coyotes, coming down our street, on our side, right at us. I had all my protections. I saw them this time. But I knew that with the two of them together we would be in great danger. With supernatural speed, I ran with Miley and so did they. We were close to our house so I sprang into our front room with Miley in front. Fear griped me so that I cried uncontrollably. Kev ran over to me and heard the story…and the dream. How could this be? Why now? Have you ever been so scared, scared of changing circumstances, wether it be in your marriage, death, loss, or just plain scared? At the same time this morning, my lap top would not turn on. Kev had left for security duties at our church and he sent me a text. Sometimes the fear you have is real, and sometimes it’s something you just don’t want to face. And then sometimes it truly is spiritual warfare. Fear stops you from moving forward, for making a positive change because change can hurt and it may not turn out like you had hoped. Kev’s text to me was “that I was being targeted by the evil one but to fear not…just like Nehemiah.” Nehemiah was facing the king of Assyria who had wiped out all the other kingdoms so what would stop him from the doing the same to the Israelites? God…the only true God…and He was their protector. The people were griped with fear and Nehemiah says in Neh.4:14 “ Don’t be afraid of them! Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and daughters, your wives and your homes.” And what happened? One angel struck down 185,000 Assyrians in one night! THEY had fear and left. The king was shortly killed by his own sons. Now, some could say “if this is true why did you run away from the coyotes?” I knew that God had warned me ahead of time and provided a way out to safety. For some of you, you need to be reminded that God will give you a way out of a difficult or dangerous situation for your protection. Don’t be afraid to go down that path. But, some of you may need to stand up to your fear, with Gods direction and protection…and face it head on. Either way, God will be there with you and that is what you can count on. May God give you the courage to face your fears, because with God, you will always win….Thank you God that we can always trust you…..
