HEAVEN: THE WAY OF HOLINESS
I rolled over and smiled to my hubby. “Kev, I had a dream last night. I dreamed I was in heaven. It had fields of pink and blue and yellow flowers. Like my mom shared with us, when she had died and saw heaven and then came back, it was a place where you never wanted to leave because there was so much JOY, LOVE, PEACE. I also saw Charlie their talking with Jesus. It was such a wonderful place”. That morning, while reading my bible, I read a passage in Isaiah 35: 8-10 “ And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in God’s way; wicked fools will not go about on it…and the ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting JOY will crown their heads. Gladness and JOY will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away”. Wow. And then I found this picture…it was everything I saw in my dream! Heaven is real folks and Charlie knew it. He often said that death for a Christian is an ushering into our final destination, our home, heaven. Today we will celebrate his life that he gave for faith, freedom, and free speech. He will be awarded the medal of freedom for all that he did to fight for free speech. But Charlie said what he wanted to be remembered most was his “ courage to share his faith…his faith in Jesus”. His wife, Erika, shared this exchange with Charlie; “ How was your first week in heaven?”. From what I dreamed, he’s having a blast with Jesus! I believe if Charlie was here he would want me to end this blog with this question; “Why don’t you believe in Jesus? Let’s debate and I’ll tell you why…”. And for those who do believe in Jesus, remember, this is NOT our home. One day, we too will be walking with Jesus, just like Charlie, full of JOY, LOVE, PEACE. But, until then, like God writes in Galatians 6:9, “ Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”. Well done, Charlie Kirk! See you in heaven…..
