Charlie Kirk, OUR TRUE NORTH

The crowds were waiting with great anticipation. Charlie Kirk, J.D. Vance, and pastor Mark Driscoll, were in the green room. Charlie was somber, quiet almost. “Pastor, can you pray for me. I think I am going to be killed or incarcerated if we lose.” He wasn’t killed and Trump won. But this was the point. Charlie did not know what the end result would be and he still went out to the crowd to speak truth for he knew he was anointed to be the next generation’s truth teller. As another pastor said, for he too was a truth teller, “ What is your price? Ten million? 20 million? If your price is not your life then you are for sale”. Charlie was our true north..he had identified very early in his life what his principles, his core values, and deepest purpose was to navigate his life and make decisions that would align with his authentic self..he belonged to Jesus first and foremost. What was meant for evil God meant for good. One man thought by assassinating Charlie, the light would be forever gone. But God always knew what his death would mean…Charlies light was extinguished, but the biggest of all lights would be ignited. Campus after campus, all over America, lit their lights, with the promise to pick up the baton Charlie passed on to them and would “ finish the job”. Though there will never be another Charlie, God and Charlie had already poured into other young men, like Brilyn Hollyhand, for the next generation. Not only are the GenZ’s seeking to bring our country back to what the founding fathers left for us, they are also finding Jesus. As Sean Feucht has shared, with tears in his eyes, Charlie’s assassination has led to the greatest revival America and the world has ever seen…So Christian, does your life reflect your true north? Can people see Jesus in you? Are you convicted so much of the love of Jesus for the lost that you are willing to share at any cost? That’s a hard question to answer honestly. When I was diagnosed with my heart issue, something changed. I now try and live my life with intentionality, to invest in heavenly purposes, rather than my own. As many of us wept with the news of Charlies assassination, it’s time to go to action mode… to the war room of heaven with prayer, studying the Bible so we know TRUTH, and as Jesus commanded, “ Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Charlie knew time was running out..do you? Thank you Charlie for showing us where our true north is to be…in Jesus.
