HEAR HIS VOICE
I was anxious this time. I asked Kev to pray. As they took the images I grew more fearful. God kept telling me to get an ultrasound. I asked if I should and was told “No”. I left still feeling something wasn’t right. The next day I got a call to come back for an ultrasound. The tech didn't believe there was anything to be concerned about. The next day they called with the results and they were only cysts, but one looked “suspicious” so I was to schedule a 6 month follow up. The next day I did. This time it was only for one side and there were 2 more spots. As I prayed and asked for wisdom and direction, I felt God saying to get a specialist. I spoke with my good friends who also recommended this direction. I called back and my doctor spoke with me and agreed I should. Next week I will be scheduling with a specialist for my breast images. People have asked me “ how do you know you are “hearing” God? Is it an audible voice? Your own thoughts? What do you mean you had a “feeling” from God? Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice, know Him, and follow Him. My experiences have sometimes been through my reading of the bible, the wise advise of godly people, but many times it has been through my thoughts, and my heart. I have been following Jesus for over 50 years, and I’ve learned to distinguish His voice from those that are false. I also ask God for confirmation that leads to either open or closed doors. Lastly, it needs to be checked through the lens of Scripture so that any “thoughts” may be in alignment with God’s word. How about you? Do you know His voice? Are you able to discern His truth verses false information? If you ARE a follower of Jesus, He promises that you will be able to hear and know what direction He wants you to go in…but what if you are not? The times we are living in right now are very, very, dangerous. There are many voices that are seeking your devotion, your attention, your worship. Only Jesus has your best interest because He created you, knows you, and loves you…really loves you. Isn’t about time you listen to the voice who will lead you to the path you were destined to travel? The good Shepherd, Jesus, will protect you from the evil one, provide your needs near calm waters, and hold you close when life has fearful waves approaching. I don’t know what the future holds right now but my fear is gone because I know the good Shepherds voice and He will lead me down the path of peace. How about you?
