THE WARNING

It happened in what seemed like an instant. I had been watching….but, when I thought it was ok I stopped. If I had been watching the weather channel I would have known that the weather was going to be changing with gusty, dry winds, and the temperature was going up. But, it was February and that is when AZ. has our winter…it’s always cold this time of year. It was just a spot when I first saw it. I used my chemo cream for the amount of time you are supposed to use it…and then I stopped watching. It had always burned the pre-cancer spot…always. In just an instant life can change…an illness, a divorce, a loss of job, a burned up home…A sense of unrest is lurking in our world today, causing many to be afraid, restless, almost a sense of doom. We like things to be the same, predictable, safe, just like it has always been. When so much change is happening it can be easy to stop watching, stop being pro-active, stop listening to the warning sounds. In the book of Mark, chapter 13, Jesus is talking with his disciples about the signs to look for in the end times….the abomination that causes desolation…false prophets..and four times He warns the disciples and those to come, to BE ON YOUR GUARD, BE ALERT, KEEP WATCH, WATCH!. Whether you watch the news, social media, or listen to the talk of others, it is evident change is happening at warped speed. The question is “ what are YOU doing about it?” Jesus says no one knows the day when He comes back but He does say “BE ON YOUR GUARD”. Are YOU certain of your salvation, or do you even care? If you have not asked Jesus into your heart and made him Lord of your life, why? If you are not certain, either way, here is the question to ask; when I wake up to start the day, who will it be for? God or yourself? Is your kingdom building only for this world or is it for the eternal kingdom? For those who do claim to be a Christian I would ask that same question. Who are you living for? Does your life show fruit for our eternal kingdom? Do you share Jesus with those you love and the lost? When I SAW my flower almost dead I immediately refreshed it with water and now watch it morning and night…regardless of the month. I LOOKED again at my spot and realized the chemo cream did not work and had it to be biopsied. Surgery will be soon. Now is the time, while we still have time, to turn to Jesus, repent, and follow him closely with time in the Bible, church, and with other believers. BE ALERT! Stay close to Jesus, not in fear, but to be able to hear TRUTH, and help others to also hear it. And here is the GOOD news….At the end of Mark, chapter 13: 26, 27 “men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather the elect from all four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens”. Will you be one of the elect? Listen to the warning sounds now and decide for Jesus. And just like that, in an instant….
